4 ASSESSMENT DRAWINGSI did struggle a bit with the assessment drawings since I haven't drawn anything since freshman year. I drew each drawing with a pencil and tried to lighten the strokes on some parts to create emphasizes to certain details such as shoe pattern and lines on the hand.
PEncil DrawingsWhen drawing the shape, the parts closer to the light were drawn a bit lighter. Meanwhile the parts farther from the light were drawn darker. Tried incorporating all the values into the shape from light to dark.

BRAINSTORMSIX COMPOSITIONal SKETchesREFERENCESIN-PROGRESS PHOTOS-If I could recreate my piece to enhance my final outcome,I would add more details to either wall or floor and add more details to the inside of the oven.
-I recreated the Jack and Beanstalk scene in which Jack is hiding in the oven. The way I represented it in my own way was by showing the P.O.V of Jack looking out the window of the oven. -When putting pen and ink techniques to work in the final piece, it's important to make sure you have a clear understanding of the concept because drawing in pencil and pen are two different things. When I would draw with pen, I would have to add more texture using techniques such as stippling because I wouldn't be able to blend like I would with the pencil -As a growing artist, I have learned that art is a process. It's not something that you do in 5 minutes. At first I was iffy on the whole process, but as you can see I did much better than my sketches. Accepting the process will guide me to doing better in my future artwork. Also, learning the importance of perspective and texture will better the accuracy of future artwork. -I used stippling in places such as the carpets and inside oven to add pattern/detail.
-I used one point perspective in the way everything was aligned to the point vanishing point. It's important to use perspective so that all objects aren't just randomly set. Having a perspective will make everything look more organized and realistic. -Texture is important in my composition because of the carpet, rocking chair, and curtains. If those objects didn't have texture added, the outcome would've been less eye catching. -Value was very important in this project because in order for objects to look more realistic they have to have some sort of value involved. -My craftsmanship was on point I would say because I really tried to make this art piece have a good amount of quality by adding more and more to improve the final outcome.
